What is the CFPN?
The Cassava Farmer Partner Network (CFPN) is aimed at creating sustainable businesses for smallholder farmers throughout Liberia while also helping provide Kawadah Farm with consistent, high quality cassava tubers for processing into gari products.
By empowering farmers with initial tools, as well as ongoing training/support will enable farmers to have predictable harvests and a dedicated buyer that will ultimately provide financial stability and economic opportunities for growth to benefit themselves and their families.
The Farmer Partner Network (FPN) was created to generate economic opportunities for smallholder farmers in Liberia, while also providing Kawadah Farm with a consistent supply of high quality crops for processing into nutritious, food products. By empowering farmers with tools and training support, we are enabling Liberians to create an economic mechanism which allows them to start and run their own businesses and support themselves and their families.
How it works
We meet farmers where they are at, whether they’re seasoned growers looking to enhance yields or newcomers needing guidance to get started. Our process is designed to support every smallholder farmer, no matter their experience level. We focus on building up local communities, providing comprehensive training and resources, and establishing nearby Centers of Excellence (COEs) for processing. These COEs empower farmers to sell their harvested crops, connect with both local and global markets and create economic opportunities for them and their families.
